bluemouth inc. dance marathon

bluemouth

This image caught my eyes in 2011 dance umbrella’s brochure and discoverd there are lots to read from this 1 page.

Very clever that the man who’s meant to be leading the move is blinded that it’s the lady who can actually lead steps.

I can see the foot steps instruction marks on the floor looking like projection.

The old fashioned number vest – it’s a beautiful garment to me.

Apparently this interactive performance event was inspired by the endurance contests of 1920s and 30s America.  That’s why called “dance marathon”.

I found their own website;

marching odd art

This “art form” was done by students of Nippon Sports Science University in Tokyo, a college for teachers of PE in 2009.

I would call this “art form” as they are clearly intending to take the sweet piss out of Japanese mass behaviour with great effort and precision.

Apparently this performance is the well known event at Sports Science University and obviously those students are not from art course.

They are bringing their special skills to create this unique “art form” not forgetting to flavour with high level of sense of humour.

Thank you. You are giving me happy tickles.

Below is the full performance version.

Melancholia

Kirsten-Dunst-in-MelancholiaI like this image of hers.

Only few have magic to  switch people’s senses on.Certainly Lars von Trier has that.

On my way to tube after seeing  his Melancholia, all of my senses are fully awake and wide open. Eyes on front & back, Skin, Nose, everything.

My familiar scenery starts to look something else.

Tokujin Yoshioka

I found this genius designer –  Tokujin Yoshioka today.
The fresh wind went through my face when I encountered this image and “wow…” came out of my mouth.

Crafty Hedgehog

Today’s discovery. CraftyHedgehog. These work managed to achieve the sweet & dark at the same time.
